Ingredients:
1 cup filtered water, coconut water or unsweetened almond milk*
1 tablespoon or to taste: organic, raw and unfiltered honey, organic Grade A maple syrup
1 tablespoon hemp, flax, or chia seeds
1/2 cup plain greek yogurt**
1/2 tablespoon coconut oil
1 tablespoon cacao powder
1 serving of your preferred green superfood powder (I use wheatgrass)
a cup spinach, kale, or other leafy green
6-8 fresh mint leaves
1 cup fresh or frozen strawberries
1 fresh or frozen medium banana
Directions:
Place above ingredients (in order given) in high-powdered blender and blend away until smooth -- 30-40 seconds or blend on smoothie setting.
* Use good quality coconut water (e.g., Harmless Harvest brand from Whole Foods is excellent), and use a high-quality unsweetened almond milk.
**The Greek yogurt should be an organic plain (preferably whole fat) brand -- e.g., Wallaby Plain whole-milk greek yogurt, Maple Hill Creamery, Stonyfield organic greek whole-milk, Green Mountain Creamery
