Why mom did this....

I have decided to start a blog of recipes. Recipes that have been passed down to me from my mother, mother-in-law, aunts on both sides of the family, cousins and friends....well, from so many different sources it's hard to remember exactly where they originated. One thing I do know is this blog will only reflect my favorites out of the entire collection over the years.

I wanted a quick way for both of you, James and Brit, to access these recipes. Thus, on recommendation by Brit, the "recipe blog" was created. This has been a lot of fun, and I hope both of you enjoy sifting through the categories of recipes. Often when I stumble across a recipe I really love, I can think back when I last prepared this recipe and relate it to how I felt that day. It usually was prepared over a holiday or great family get-together. The favorites, in my mindset, were always kept for good times, happy times. After all, isn't this the time to bring out the crème de la crème?

So here's to you, kids....I burden you, once again, with another one of "mom's crazy projects!"
